Backer Rod is a flexible, closed-cell polyethylene foam rod used as a gap-filling material in construction and sealing applications. It is placed into joints before sealant application to control sealant depth, provide a firm backing, and ensure proper joint design. Backer rods improve the performance of sealants by allowing maximum elasticity, reducing sealant consumption, and preventing three-side adhesion.
